As a teacher, I find this to be completely inappropriate. Why transform yet another generation into socially inept technogeeks who can’t truly read or write in a traditional sense? Dumping more gadgets into the laps of young people is not going to make them better students, citizens, or creative individuals.
Let’s be honest, it’s about under-40 trophy children who became teachers wishing to remake children in their own faulty image. Someday, you’ll learn there’s more to life than pecking away at a keyboard, playing video games, or yakking into a phone.
And please, stop offering the conceit that you care about children. You care about supporting the bottom line profits of Silicon Valley companies.

The first response here is bizarre in the extreme and is full of nonsensical prejudices supported by no evidence that fly in the face of 21st century reality.

I find it facinating that someone so opposed to 21st century tools took the time to follow a link, subscribe to an RSS feed, or do a search to watch this video. Why would you waste your time viewing such a thing when you have clearly made up your mind that technology is the root of all that is evil and wrong with education today? It boggles the mind.
