It is easy to get me to come and speak to your school or district (just as long as you can work with my teaching schedule). Here are some of the workshops and keynotes that I offer…
Workshops for your school, district or conference:
Teaching with iPads – 21st Century Student Assessment using Filmmaking: (3-hours) at my school students compete to write the best dramatic story that if chosen, is then turned into a movie. They act, film, direct and edit their own movies that are amazing. Here is a link to my school’s website that shows our most recent movies: http://www.bethkeelementary.com/kbob-studios-movies.html During this 3 hour workshop teachers write a script, storyboard the movie, and then film and edit their own movie. (Certain apps need to be purchased and installed prior to participation in this workshop.)
Teaching with iPads – 21st Century Student Assessment using Animation: (3-hours) during this workshop teacher learn all about the art of animation and how it is one on the hottest 21st century skills out there. With everything from Walt Disney’s original Steam Boat Willie to James Cameron’s digitally animated masterpiece Avatar the world of animation is exploding and your students are begging to learn how. (Certain apps need to be purchased and installed prior to participation in this workshop.)
Teaching with iPads – 21st Century Student Assessment using Podcasting: (3-hours) the students in my school have the most popular and longest running student podcast on iTunes. This workshop explains in detail how I get my students to consistently do amazing podcasts year after year as teachers make and publish their own podcasts. (Certain apps need to be purchased and installed prior to participation in this workshop.)
Keynotes for your school, district or conference:
The Path to Edtech Success: (90 minutes) This educational and inspiring keynote explains how I get students to do amazing technology projects at my school. I explain the basics to Passion-Based Teaching and how it can get students begging to do school tech projects.
Unbelievable Elementary Tech Projects: (90 minutes) This keynote is for those who say it can’t be done. Sometimes seeing really is believing and in this keynote I show off some of the projects that my students do. In fact, many times I have had attendees stand up in protest saying something like; “There’s no way that second graders did that!” Which then gives me a chance to show the behind-the-scenes to some of the most amazing elementary tech projects.
Using iPads for 21st Century Assessment: (90 minutes) With more and more schools using iPads, many teachers are left wondering how to adapt their instruction to take full advantage of these new devices. In this keynote, you will follow me as I as I use iPads to assess my students’ learning of The Renaissance. This keynote is based on the principles of Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy and is relevant and adaptable for teachers of all age levels and subjects.

Debbie B., Prairie Crossing Elementary: Brad, you are a very dynamic presenter! I always walk away from your sessions with new ideas and so excited to try them! Thanks.
Caitlin S, Buffalo Ridge Elementary: Brad is a very effective presenter with tons of resources, and most importantly, examples to give teachers great, specific ideas of how to incorporate these projects in their school. His passion is evident!
Sam S., Milliken Elementary: Brad is an amazing presenter and is very well organized. I really enjoyed the ideas and the passion that he has for education with technology. As a 5th grade teacher; the fire is lit and I’m ready to start my ideas. Thank you!!
Kirk A., Manager of Educational Technology: The projects that Brad does at Bethke is some of the most exciting project based learning I have seen. Brad has a passion that is obvious in what he does with students and infectious in his presentation to teachers. I think any teacher would do him or herself a service to be inspired by what Brad does. The best session I attended at TIE Colorado 2012.
Chris J., Grant Middle School: I am inspired to collaborate with the Lang. Art teachers at my school to use iPads for various projects. I shared Brad’s ideas about school newscasts and now I can see us creating them easily and quickly. My principal is thrilled and has even allocated some funds for iPad accessories that Brad shared with us at this session!
